Although 2012 saw improvements in the financial markets, it has not yet translated into a positive economic performance. Belgium witnessed another quarter of stagnant economic conditions. This is largely a result of weak external demand from other euro zone markets, which has in turn subdued domestic market demand and dampened business and consumer sentiment. As a result, performances in the Belgian office market were largely unchanged in Q1 2013, with prime rents holding firm across the country.
