Beijing Economy Grows Steadily. According to statistics released by the Beijing Statistics Bureau, Beijing’s GDP reached RMB410.1 billion in the first quarter of 2013, representing a 7.9% annual growth rate and 0.9 percentage point increase year-on-year. In the first quarter of 2013, the tertiary industry attained a total value of RMB319.5 billion. With an annual increase of 25.3%, the real estate industry remains as the main driving force of tertiary sector growth. The stable expansion of the real estate industry in particular encourages the healthy development of Beijing’s office market.
