The seventh INREV Fund Termination Study found that the uncertainly of European markets continues to prevent investors form making decisions regarding terminations until the last moment. For the same reason, the majority of the funds are opting to extend the lifetime of the fund instead of liquidating.
Of the funds terminating in 2012-2014, 59% have not yet made a decision on their termination option. When the original termination date is two years away, 94% have not yet made a decision regarding termination options.
