A research produced by
2013 proved an unbalanced year, with requirements and activity in the retail property market improving significantly as the year progressed. Although consumers were still cautious, sentiment generally recovered towards the year end. Despite unspectacular retail sales growth, the KBC/ESRI indices returned to their highest sentiment levels since October 2007. Factors such as better employment figures and a stable housing market were certainly helpful.
