Both Camden and Burlington County’s unemployment rates declined significantly over the past 12 months. Camden County’s unemployment rate dropped to 8.4% in the first quarter of 2014, down from 10.6% in the first quarter of 2013. Burlington County’s unemployment rate improved to 7.3% in the first quarter of 2014, down from 9.1% in the first quarter of 2013. The State of New Jersey’s education and health services sector experienced the largest growth in March 2014, adding 2,600 new jobs to the market during the month.
