By the close of February, the Texas Workforce Commission reported 82,800 nonagricultural jobs created during the past twelve months. Office-using job growth (professional and business services, information and financial activities) reported a gain of 21,700 jobs since February 2013. Unemployment figures in Dallas and Fort Worth registered 5.9% and 5.7%, respectively; 0.7 percentage points lower than totals from one year ago and lower than the U.S. average of 7.0%.
