According to the Beijing Statistics Bureau, Beijing’s CPI went up to 4.6% in February 2013, reaching a peak over the past 12 months. As of February 2013, Beijing’s retail sales were reported to be at RMB 136.1 billion, at a year-on-year increase of 10.2%, while growth rate dropped 5.6 percentage points. It is predicted that with the cooling down of China’s economy, Beijing’s residential consumer expenditure will remain stable.
