The state’s unemployment rate increased to 6.6% in the month of January and fell to 6.0% in February, 0.6% lower than this time last year. Similarly, the national rate rose to 8.5% in January but fell to 8.1% in February, 0.6% lower than February 2012. The 62,360 increase in jobs year-over-year is up 2.3% from one year ago. Leading growth, the Trade, Transportation, & Utilities sector is up 15,186 jobs over the past year.
