The close of 2012 saw a lift in external demand, largely from non-European markets; however, this could not support the weakening domestic market, and consequently the beginnings of 2013 saw economic activity slow. The industrial market has thus fallen under increasing pressure, with uncertainty particularly affecting occupiers seeking commodity warehousing and storage space. As a result, prime rents were largely unchanged over the quarter.
