A research produced by
2013 marked the second consecutive year of stagnation within the French economy, with a strong pick-up in Q2 cancelled out by a contraction in Q3. The year is likely to have finished on a muted note due to the weaknesses in domestic demand and modest export growth, which was indicated by weak PMI surveys for December.
