The office-using sector fueled employment growth in San Mateo County with a 3.0% annual increase, a shift as the thriving tech-sector previously led growth in this market and ended the year with a 2.7% increase according to Moody’s Analytics. Local office-using employment gains also outperformed the state and national growth of 1.8% and 2.6% respectively. This steady employment growth bodes well for the local housing, retail and office markets.
