U.S. employers finally recovered the 8.8 million jobs lost during the recession, according to numbers released by the Labor Department, driving national unemployment down to 6.7%. Statewide and Indianapolis MSA unemployment rates fell to 6.1% and 6.2% respectively. Q1 14 data released by the Labor Department show 4,000 local jobs added since Q1 13 in industrial-using industries, following underwhelming growth during a harsh winter and record snowfall. With spring around the corner, the industrial market is back on path to encouraging growth in 2014.
