The Broward County economy grew steadily with over 18,865 jobs added over the past year, dropping the unemployment rate to 5.2% in November 2013, down from a revised 6.8% a year-ago. This compares with an unemployment rate of 6.2% for Florida and 6.6% for the nation during the same period.
