Retail sales were disappointing in 2013, with the first three quarters all recording falls on an annual basis, albeit slowly improving each quarter. This negative trend was confirmed again in November when, according to Statistics Finland, retail sales fell by 0.4% in constant prices compared with the same month in 2012.
