Astana is the second most prominent business destination in the country after Almaty. According to the latest available statistical data, in the first half of 2014 the influx of visitors to Astana increased by 32% compared to the corresponding period of 2013. More than half of visitors came to the city for business purposes. This is an immediate effect of the shift in business focus from Almaty to Astana.
