At the end of August, the Texas Workforce Commission reported annualized growth of nonagricultural jobs by 395,200. Professional and business services increased the most in August, adding 8,700 jobs. The unemployment rate in the Dallas/Forth Worth market matched the state number at 5.5% at the end of August. This meant an improvement of 0.7 percentage points for the Metroplex.
