Success is breeding success in the Nashville metropolitan area. Employment and income are growing rapidly, drawing migrants into the area, pushing housing prices higher, driving demand for and construction of houses, apartments and new businesses, fueling construction of commercialreal estate, and – more jobs. Multi-family housing permits are expected to increase by 50% for 2016. Employment is projected to top one million within the next five years, and net migration is adding 17,000 people per year. The auto industry, which supports one out of every three manufacturing jobs in Nashville, will see new facilities for Nissan and General Motors. Firms such as CKE Restaurants are moving their headquarters to Nashville.
