The Chicago unemployment rate has fallen for four consecutive quarters and ended November 2015 at 5.2% for the Chicago metro. This was a slight increase quarter-over-quarter, but represented a fall year-over-year and still remains lower than pre-recession levels. Drivers of Chicago office space, educational/ health services and professional/business services had a 2.4% increase year-over-year, while all occupations listed as “Other Services” posted a 3.5% increase and construction increased by 6.4% year over year.
