The Greater Philadelphia region’s unemployment rate improved to 8.0% at the beginning of 2013, down from 8.8% a year ago. Since November of 2011, the professional and business services sector has grown by 3.8%; the largest increase by sector in the Philadelphia metropolitan area over this time period.
