The London office market continues to outperform the rest of the UK, although the lack of modern, Grade A stock is hampering occupational and investment activity in this market. This has forced some occupiers to broaden their search criteria and look at areas where rents are lower and where there is a greater supply of prime space. Meanwhile, the regional UK office market is beginning to build some momentum, helped by improving business sentiment and recent strong economic indicators. According to the latest consensus forecasts, the UK economy is now expected to grow by 1% in 2013.
