There are tentative signs that the Spanish economy may have turned a corner and some monthly economic indicators are continuing to surprise on the upside. This has led to some marginal improvement in consumer and business confidence, although this has yet to translate into higher levels of occupational and investment activity. GDP growth forecasts for 2013 and 2014 are -1.3% and 0.5% respectively.
