The projected GDP growth for Manitoba’s economy for the rest of 2013 is 2.5%; fourth highest in the country. In early September, Fortress Real Developments Inc. and Mady Development Corp. released their plans for a 730,000 square foot (sf) skyscraper that they hope to build on a surface parking lot on the north side of Graham Avenue in Downtown Winnipeg. The proposed development would feature a 36-storey condo tower, as well as a nine-storey commercial podium.
