A research produced by
Westchester County’s unemployment rate finished the month at 6.5%, 0.8 percentage points lower than it was one year ago and more than a percentage point lower than the national average. Estimated private sector employment has continued to edge higher, increasing 2.3% since May 2012. However, it has yet to translate into significant corporate leasing or growth in the area.
