The Atlanta economy made significant headway towards a recovery in 2013. The Bureau of Labor Statistics reported that unemployment in the Atlanta metro area ended the month of November at seven percent as Atlanta gained approximately 52,700 non-farm jobs during the first eleven months of the year. The office using sector gained 14,500 jobs over the same period, increasing 2.2% with the Professional and Business Services sector accounting for most of the employment gains among the office-using industries.
