Each of the four counties in the North Bay continued expanding, and the unemployment rate is now below 8.0% throughout the region according the California Employment Development Department. Marin County has one of the lowest unemployment rates in the state, at 4.7% as of the end of February, down 70 basis points from the same time last year. Napa’s unemployment rate dropped 110 basis points to 6.1%, Solano’s 140 basis points to 7.9%, and Sonoma’s 140 basis points to 6.2%. These all compare favorably to the state average of 8.5%
