The Greater Toronto Area (GTA) availability rate decreased by 0.19% from Q4 2013 to 3.78% in Q1 2014. Approximately 1.45 million square feet leased in Q1 2014. Across the GTA , 84.52% of available industrial space was direct and 15.48% was for sublet.
Four buildings were completed were over the quarter to totaling 439,529 square feet in Vaughan, Brampton and Burlington. There were six buildings under construction totaling 2.47 million square feet. GTA West accounted for 96.79% of all under construction space in GTA.
