There is nothing new about the observation that Berlin will keep growing for years to come: By 2030, Germany's capital is expected to grow by another 250,000 residents. This represents the medium variant of a demographics projection for Berlin that was compiled by the Senate Department for Urban Development and Environment.
It should be added that the Senate Department actually considers the higher variant more likely. It projects a population increase by 400,000 people over the next 16 years.
