In the first half of 2014, 2.4 million sq m of warehouse space was newly let or passed to owner-occupiers through purchases or starts of construction. This made the second quarter, at 1.172 million sq m, almost as strong as the first (1.288 million sq m).
In the second quarter the Top 5 regions were able to increase take-up slightly on the first quarter to 882,000 sq m, whilst take-up outside the Top 5 regions declined by 20%.
