
U.S. commercial real estate investment reached USD66bn in Q3 2014. This took rolling annual volumes to a new pre-crisis level of USD270bn, a 20% increase on the same period a year ago.
Activity across the eight main U.S. markets we monitor totalled USD93bn over the last twelve months. Growth of 17% on a year ago is below the national average as investors shift towards non-core markets.
Domestic investors accelerated disposals, with net sales of USD7bn in the last twelve months. On the other hand, non-North American investors reached a new record, investing a net USD3bn.
