Miami-Dade mid-year figures confirmed that market conditions are steadily improving giving reason to have solid optimism for the second half of 2014 and the future. Based on figures from the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the unemployment rate continued its downward trend to 7.6%, a 1.1 percentage point decrease from 8.7% one year ago. As one of the nation’s largest metropolitan statistical areas, Miami registered the fastest rate of annual job growth recording 3.1% at the end of the second quarter of 2014.
