A research produced by
San Joaquin County continues its economic improvement in line with the nation and Northern California. Statistics as of September from the California Employment Development Department reflect an unemployment rate of 9.7%, down from the 11.6% reported a year ago. Relevant to the industrial market, year over year job growth in truck transportation was 4.4% and warehousing & storage was 5.8% while overall manufacturing jobs decreased by 6.4%. As occupancy in the county improves we expect employment to remain healthy for the remainder off the year.
