2014 was a good year for the U.S. economy: the unemployment rate fell to 5.6%, a significant drop from the 6.7% where it started in January, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. This marks the first time it has been that low since June 2008. A similar story could be found in Connecticut, where the unemployment rate dropped from 7.4% at the end of last year to 6.5% at the end of this one.
