Leipzig got off to an extremely successful start to the year with an investment volume of 308 m €, the best it has ever registered. This was due chiefly to the almost threefold year-on-year increase in single deals; these totalled nearly 297 m €; portfolio deals included on a pro rata basis made up the remaining 11 m €. The buoyant scale of market activity is also reflected by the high number of sales, 21 in all, something which highlights the strong demand and Leipzig's strength as an investment location. The performance exhibited in this opening quarter emphasises Leipzig's status as the most important B-location for investments in Germany.
