This is only the beginning of a new wave of retail openings: at least three commercial complexes in core Guangzhou retail hubs are still in this year’s pipeline, plus another four in the outer areas.Q1 recorded a slight increase of vacancy rate in the core retail hubs by 0.1 percentage points q-o-q to 7.4%, and the average ground-floor rent continued its q-o-q drop by 0.6% to RMB 1,376.4 (US$211.2) per month per sq m.
