GDP growth is forecasted to reach 3.3% in 2017, with consumer conditions remaining largely favourable and the financial sector set for a boost from more favourable stock market. Looking further ahead, the pace of growth is expected to ease to an average of just above 3%. The main headwind for 2017 will be higher inflation, expected around 1.6% this year compared to 0% in 2016.
