The Baltimore metropolitan region finished 2016 with an unemployment rate of 4.2%, significantly lower than 2015. In 2015 the employment drivers were the Construction and Financial sectors. This space has seen slower growth in 2016, meanwhile the Professional and Business Services along with Education & Health Services sectors emerged as leaders, driving job growth.
