The French economy has started to fire on all cylinders following the election of Emmanuel Macron. With this momentum set to be sustained, our outlook for rental growth has been upgraded. Although investment prices in many parts of Paris do seem increasingly stretched, the Grand Paris projects and the host of the Olympics in 2024 should provide a long-term growth story for certain submarkets. Furthermore, the logistics sector in Ile-de-France is anticipated to be one the best performing across Europe, as operators clamour for the best locations to serve the capital.
