The Nashville economy is showing signs of continued positive momentum. The planned Q2 13 opening of Music City Center created more than 1,500 new jobs and sparked development of new hotels, restaurants and other businesses. In February, the Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development reported the unemployment rate in Tennessee dropped to 7.8%. Davidson and Williamson Counties outperformed the state, achieving unemployment rates of 6.3% and 5.3%, respectively.
