The North Bay economy finished the year strong with each of the four counties of the region continuing the trend of job recovery that began in January. Job growth was driven by expansions in the trade, transportation, utilities and leisure and hospitality sectors. These gains offset the losses due to the seasonal slowing of the wine and farm industries. Non-farm employment growth is accelerating with job count increasing by at least 1.8% year-over-year in each of the market’s counties. Solano has led all counties in employment gains by adding 4,400 jobs in the last 12 months.
