Following a mixed first quarter, retail sales growth turned positive in Q2. Indeed, sales volumes rose by 1.0% in April, 2.1% in May and by 2.2% on the same month in 2013. There was, however, a divergence in performance among food and non-food stores, with falling and rising sales respectively over the quarter.
